Kate’s bio…
Kate Rouch has spent her career helping people understand, adopt, and benefit from technologies that change how the world works.
Most recently, she served as the first Chief Marketing Officer at OpenAI, where she built and led the global marketing organization. Prior to OpenAI, she was the first Chief Marketing Officer at Coinbase and spent more than a decade at Meta, where she was one of the company's early marketers and ultimately served as Vice President and Global Head of Brand and Product Marketing for Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger.
Across each chapter of her career, Kate has focused on a common challenge: helping transformative technologies become useful, understandable, and feel deeply human. Her work has been consistently recognized for creative breakthrough. In 2026, she was named one of Forbes' 50 Most Influential CMOs, and Ad Age named OpenAI's "Everyday Possibilities" Campaign of the Year. Her work has been awarded numerous international awards, including the Grand Prix at Cannes where she also sat on the inaugural Dan Widen Titanium jury.
Kate is a breast cancer survivor and advocate. She believes AI has the potential to help cure breast cancer, and save the 650K woman who die from it every year. She lives in Reno, Nevada, with her husband, two children, four horses, many cows, and an indestructible betta fish named Blueberry.
